IVECO and IVECO BUS become the official suppliers of the 105th Tour d’Italia

　　IVECO will provide a modified version of the IVECO S-WAY natural gas truck in race paint for the 2022 Tour de Italy ("Tour de Italy") for team performances and the IVECO Daily fleet for logistics transportation during this world-class sporting event.

　　IVECO BUS will provide its sustainable buses for the world’s only electric road cycling event, Giro-E, and showcase its E-Way electric buses at EXPO-E. The electric racing platform is a perfect fit for the IVECO BUS brand, which has a complete range of electric vehicles.

　　IVECO and IVECO BUS are the official suppliers designated for the 2022 Tour of Italy and the 2022 Giro-E. The two brands share the core values of innovation, sustainability and passion with the event, and will showcase IVECO’s low- and zero-emission solutions by providing a green fleet for the transportation of people and materials during the race.

　　The Tour of Italy and Giro-E will provide a good platform for the sustainable development of the two brands of the IVECO Group in the transportation of goods and people.

　　The Tour de Italy is one of the prestigious annual cycling tournaments and this year is the 105th edition of the Tour de Italy. Together with the Tour de France and the Tour of Spain, the Tour de Italy is the most famous cycling event in the world, with about 900 million spectators on five continents. The Giro-E is the only event dedicated to pedal-assisted electric road bikes. As an associated project of the Tour de Italy, it has quickly gained the favor of a wide audience.

　　IVECO will lead the world’s best cyclists in the 2022 Tour d’Italia, which starts in Budapest, with 21 stages, the first three in Hungary, and then on to Italy, finishing in Verona on May 29. On each day of the race, IVECO S-WAY LNG trucks will lead the "Carovana" team performance, a popular parade of decorative cars, with entertainment and music to enhance the festive atmosphere at the hands of the drivers. IVECO’s lead truck was specially modified for this event, based on a clean energy model powered by LNG, and the body is painted with the exclusive pink "Giro d’italia". IVECO S-WAY LNG will dominate the team performances in 21 stages in Hungary and Italy, which will strongly demonstrate the practicality of natural gas technology and its key role in decarbonizing transportation. "

　　IVECO will also provide 10 IVECO Daily light commercial vehicles for logistics transportation during the event, as well as 2 pink bodies designed for Giro d’italia for the team show and 7 for the 2022 Giro-E. The 19 vehicles are powered by IVECO’s latest generation of fuel-efficient engines, thus providing sustainable power.

　　As the official supplier of the 2022 Giro-E event, IVECO BUS will provide riders participating in the electric road cycling event with an EVADYS bus equipped with next-generation engine technology and compatible with renewable fuels. In addition, a CROSSWAY natural gas bus will be provided for the event. This is a bus designed for urban and intercity passenger transportation. It was named "Sustainable Bus of the Year 2018" and is now widely popular as the demand for natural gas buses increases.

　　IVECO BUS will also participate in the EXPO-E exhibition related to Giro-E, which will be held over four weekends in Catania (May 8-10), Naples (May 14-15), Turin (May 21-22) and Verona (May 28-29).
